Mission
In an era of climate change and globalization, Indigenous knowledge plays a crucial role in nature conservation. Rooted in traditional cosmology, this knowledge offers a unique approach to interacting with the natural environment. Local ecosystems are deeply intertwined with the cultural life of Indigenous communities, embedded in myths and stories passed down through generations.
The work of the Cosmotonia Foundation is grounded in local needs, dreams, and traditions. We believe that true collaboration with Indigenous peoples can only exist in complete equality, fostering a dialogue that builds a sustainable and respectful relationship.

What’s behind our name COSMOTONIA Foundation?
“Cosmology deals with the physical situation that is the context in the large for human existence: the universe has such a nature that our life is possible.” – The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy
The name encapsulates the idea that we are part of something much greater—an interconnected whole where human life and the environment exist in harmony and balance.
